On 6 September, Per Johansson of Särö, Sweden came home to find a Swedish elk in his neighbour’s apple tree with only one leg on the ground. Apparently, the elk had been eating fermenting apples off the ground. As the tipsy animal reached for another apple, it tumbled into the apple tree and got stuck. After calling the police, and sawing at the branches surrounding the elk, the fire department came and managed to bend the tree to release the elk. It was unconscious but when it finally woke up, it stumbled away completely hung over.
